8 I believe I am one of the first people to have purchased the 9260 Yamakami SGC Katana in the UK. It was supplied in excellent condition,very promptly with lots of expert help and guidance from Rod.

This Katana cuts like nothing else I have used.It`s cutting power amazed me and everyone else in my class.It went through a triple roll of tatami omote with a 2in banboo in the middle with ease!! It`s incredible. It takes a little getting used to as the deeper blade makes it a little heavier than a standard katana but after 10-15 minutes kata with it i soon got used to it.This thing is designed and built for one thing,cutting and boy have cheness got it right! After 2 hours cutting practice on a wide variety of targets the edge is as razor sharp as when i bought it. The steel is amazing.I highly recommend this sword from RGW Handforged Katanas to anyone who is serious about their tools. For the money it is absoloutely first class and its unusual blade design makes it a very interesting collection piece. Can`t wait to by the Wakizashi and Ko Katana when they are available. 14.Hi there rod,long time no see but not forgotten thought i would get this long awaited email off today while its in my mind,this is really for the benefit of your future clients who may be thinking of aquiring one of your swords.My name is Peter Dellis and I am a practicioner of kenjutsu and kyudo for a number of years now and am a life founder member of the zen shin bu do kia academy and meiji(weapons maker) to the fujiwara clan,of which i have recentley been honoured to become part of the oldest ruling clans in japan.During last year I was unfortunate to have had my swords stolen and was looking to purchase a sword to work with until i could arrange another,this is when i came across rod and his company during my many days searching the internet and what seemed to get my attention was the excellent presentation of his swords and seemingly to me his dedication he had showed.This was not just about selling swords,it reached a little deeper,on contacting him i was invited to come down to his studio and handle various swords he had in stock,of these i looked at his range from the ranko to the very best and i was pleasently suprised to find swords with such fine weight and balance and good handling qualities normally assigned to swords of a much higher price band.I now have two of rods swords,both the ranko which can be used with speed and accuracy due to its light weight which i found excellent for some kata work and also i have the kanbai which is a clay tempered blade and is much heavier,of which this is my overall favourite,this handles well but is more sure in its cut but i would certainly recommend these or any other of rods swords as not only good value for what you pay but are of a nice quality aswell.It has been a pleasure to have met rod who also has a love of both sword and its culture too,I hope that this may help further customers when pondering on purchasing one of his swords.Regards peter dellis

17.I have just purchased a Kaze from RGW,I spoke to rod at length about the kaze and he answered all my questions fully and more importantly enthusiastically.Having owned the kaze for 3 days i have had ample opportunity to inspect,admire and play with it.My conclusions are,one fine piece of katana,the hamon being clay tempered is a joy to look at,and more pleasing knowing it`s unique to his blade and not stenciled on like the cheaper looking ones or the more expensive ones aswell.I have seen and handled much more expensive katana and this Kaze without doubt will hold its own,even more amazing is the purchase price.WOW.Thanks rod hope to do more buying when you get your custom katana in.All the best Kevin. ocsapy@googlemail.com

18.Today (25.1.08) I visited rod at his home address to look at and possibly purchase one of his katana.Luckily i had sat nav so i found his place which is in the middle of nowhere.What a nice friendly and helpful guy he is,I wanted one of his Kaze katana but unfortunately he didn`t have any stock and they not due in until march(when i am away for a month) I had shown interest in the shura and luckily he had one in stock which he showed me.Rod also showed me a new katana which doesn`t have a name yet and has been made to his own specification,well what a difficult choice i didn`t bother looking at any of his other stock,the shura was the one for me.It felt really good in the hand and was beautifully balanced,how do they much such good quality swords at such a reasonable price ? 19.The Ranko I ordered arrived this morning. Upon opening the packaging I was 
pleasantly surprised at the nice presentation box! Opening this, I was 
further pleased by the fine sword bag, and when I opened that... I am 
usualy a rather eloquent chap, but all I could say was "Wow!"
If this is the 'entry' model, the rest must be stunning because this one 
looks and feels 'right' In a word- 'beautiful!' The tsuba as fitted, is 
perfectly fine, but as I want the sword for display I had already decided 
to change it. As my surname is Hare, I got a really nice 'Sleeping Hare' 
tsuba.(see attached pic) Five minutes careful work, (with the correct 
tools!) and I have a personalised Katana at a very good price! Fabulous, 
thanks so much Rod, you were marvelously helpful. Highly recommended by me!
